In 2008, arguably one of the harshest economic downturns since the Great Depression, turned into a golden opportunity for Steve and Donna Frellick. Steve, a General Contractor at the time and Donna a nurse in the Mission Hospital neonatal unit, were facing some difficult choices with several of their high end timber frame spec homes unsold, they chose to put these homes into a vacation rental program. This proved to be a wise decision as Yonder has grown to over 240 luxury properties in Asheville, Tryon, Lake Lure, Brevard, Maggie Valley, Weaverville, Hendersonville and other mountain towns in Western North Carolina. Since its start, Yonder has amassed over 12,000 5-Star reviews and was selected in a nationwide search by AirBnB to be featured in their Host Tool study.
Your mountain vacation should be a chance to connect with people you love and to explore the breathtaking nature around us, to discover downtown surprises and backwoods treasures. Just as Steve & Donna did over 20 years ago. They fell in love with the people, culture, color and the mountain air instantly. You can still find them roaming the area, tasting the great food, admiring artisans in the River Arts District or enjoying the spectacular beauty that each season in the Blue Ridge Mountains offers. Being from close-knit families with true friends and traveling together for years on family vacations, the importance of a memorable experience for all rings true and crystal clear. Providing dream homes with a personal touch that create meaningful and lifelong memories for every guest is the ultimate goal that Steve, Donna and the Yonder team strive for every day of the year!
